RENEX is one out of ten African start-ups that were winners of the coveted AFD Digital Energy Challenge Grant. In 2022 the Digital Energy Challenge awarded 10 start-ups and utility companies for coming up with some of the most innovative approaches to supplying electricity in Africa. The challenge has the objective of supporting the development of innovative solutions for energy access, the integration of renewable energy and public utility performance improvement. AFD’s Digital Energy Facility launched the Digital Energy Challenge in 2021 and will run the program for a duration of four years.
